A 3-Day Basic Election Administration Course for OYSIEC Chairman, Commissioners and Senior Staff.
The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission boss, Mr. John Jide Ajeigbe has allayed the fears of political parties in the State that all their claims will be judiciously looked into as the Commission has concluded delineation of ward boundaries in preparation towards May 12th, Local Government election into the 33 Local Government Council, and 35 Local Council Development Areas of the State.
Mr. Ajeigbe said this at the opening ceremony of the 3-day basic election administration course for Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission’s Chairman, Commissioners and Senior Staff, held at Owu Crown Hotel, Monatan, Ibadan on Monday, 19th day of March, 2018.
According to Mr. Ajeigbe, the training was another assurance that the electoral body will not compromise on conducting a credible, free and fair election come May 13, 2018.
In his remarks, IFES, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Obaje Ukeh says the objectives of the workshop is to build capacity of the Commission’s Staff to be able to carry out the conduct of the election effectively and that at the end of the training participants are expected to be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge and attitude of basic election administration.
